Movies - Part I

It has been a while since my last review for movies... now, let me share the movies that I’ve watched for the past few months - I hope you’ll like my movie review besides enjoying reading on my F&B reviews! Pop corn time with soda drink, yeah!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2: The final adventure in the Harry Potter film series and the much-anticipated motion picture event of the year. Battle between the good and evil forces of the wizarding world escalates into an all-out war. Whether you are an avid fan of the books or just a regular moviegoer, excitement is bound to arise. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort. It all ends here and the franchise takes its final bow. - Avada Kedavra-

Hanna: Hanna is 16 years old girl who is bright, inquisitive, and a devoted daughter. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier; these come from being raised by her widowed father Erik an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of North Finland. Erik has taught Hanna to hunt, put her through extreme self-defence workouts, and home-schooled her with only an encyclopaedia and a book of fairy tales. Hanna has been living a life unlike any other teenager; her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. But out in the world there is unfinished business for Hanna's family, and it is with a combination of pride and apprehension that Erik realizes his daughter can no longer be held back. Dark and full of action!

Captain America: The First Avenger: Focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. Overhearing the boy's earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment - Operation: Rebirth. Armed with his indestructible shield and great battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and as leader of the Avengers. Join forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving). For me, CATFA is fun and enjoyable – wait till the end credit to find out something that may excite you. Go Captain!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon: Autobots Bummblebee, Rachet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action taking on the evil Decepticons, who are eager to avenge their recent defeat. The Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, to reach a hidden Cybertronian spacecraft on the moon and learn its secrets, and once again Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. New villain, Shockwave, who rules Cybertron, is on the scene while the Autobots and Decepticons continue to battle it out on Earth. Both race against each other to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle. For good or ill, Bay is the soul of a new machine, the poet of post-human cinema. Go Autobots!

Red Riding Hood: Valerie is a beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a brooding outsider Peter but her parents have arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry. Unwilling to lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon, to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she loves. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique connection to the beast-one that inexorably draws them together, making her both suspect and bait. Just another teen movie that trapped in red hood!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes: A single act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war unlike any other - the Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of Avatar and Lord of the Rings is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape that delivers a dramatic performance of unprecedented emotion and intelligence, and epic battles on which rest the upended destinies of man and primate. This movie is refreshing to add into the franchise; look forward to the sequel (if there is one in the planning). Must watch for those who like action as it was phenomenal and possibly the best of its kind – Satisfying Apes!
