Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom Of Doom

We almost come to the end of May but the Summer time just start to kick-off when big movie titles into the theatre. Here are the 2 new ones that I’ve watched over the two weekends; they are Pirates of the Caribbean IV and Kung Fu Panda 2. Here’s my review for both movies and I think they are cool at their own genre.

In Kung Fu Panda 2, Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five. But Po's new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. Po must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed.

The storyline arc may seem a tad familiar to fans of the original, but Kung Fu Panda 2 offers enough action, comedy, and visual sparkle to compensate.

Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penélope Cruz), he's not sure if it's love-or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne's Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past.

It's shorter and leaner than the previous sequel, this Pirates runs on a non-stop storm of action sequences.

Only U Restaurant @ Glenmarie Shah Alam

Usually we don’t have much choice when comes to F&B selection at our office area but today Joseph brought us to the newly opened restaurant called “Only U restaurant”. Only U is located at the back of MC Curry House at Glenmarie and same row with Pao Xiang BKT. Very simple set up restaurant but they serve delicious food, such as Mee Yoke, Siam Laksa, Ipoh Hor Fun, and Kampar Noodle to name a few. If you ever come to Glenmarie for your lunch, do drop by to this newly opened restaurant and enjoy the yummy food and the good service besides going to the famous and crowded Meng Kee Char Siew Restaurant, J&J, MC Curry House, Pan Mee, Nasi Kandar Restaurant, Mamak Stall and etc. You make the judgement from the pictures below, go and have a bowl by yourself :)

My Mee Yoke (Prawn Mee) - Yummylicious
Joseph's Ipoh Hor Fun - Goodlicious
Kelly's Kampar Noodle - Ho Chiak Licious
Khong's Siam Laksa - Irresistible-licious
Kelly's Mixed Organs Soup - Ho Seik Licious

FICELLE @ Taman Danau Desa

Last weekend was a great weekend for me & I wish it will get better from time to time. I went to Ficelle at Taman Danau Desa for a brunch as the place is highly recommended by a friend of us. No doubt the place is great and the food they serve is delicious at reasonable price. I heard Ficelle just had its grand opening on 6th May 2011. Ficelle Boulangerie & Patisserie had variety of pastries, buns, cakes etc for you to choose and some great selection from their hot kitchen plus the freshly juices and great quality of coffee drinks (and they didn’t skimp on the quality).

Entering into the patisseries was double pleasure as rows upon rows of freshly baked pastries and cakes line up for you to choose and enjoy them. An explosion of colour and fragrance greeted me and I stood there for a moment trying to take it all in. It was overwhelming as I didn't know what to choose or where to start. I made my order and walk out to find a place to sit and found a spot under the shade. The day wasn't too hot + soft breeze and it is not too packed make it the perfect wonderful moment for me to enjoy those yummy pastries, juice, cuppa and buns.

Variety of Log Buns - Fall in love

My spaghetti chicken bolognese - PURFECT!
Peanut butter bun - Unbelievable
Chocolate Croissant - YUM YUM
Cappuccino - Heaven :)
The man behind all these delicious pastries suddenly stand across my table... the Chef (Japanese)!

Shelves filled with the freshest, tastiest pastries and cakes you'd mistake them for works of art. Rest assured I’ll be there again as this wouldn’t be my only trip.
