KiKi Taiwan Cuisine

Not a typical Sunday for me as I have the chance to walk around KLCC for hours before break-fast and settled down with my bff at KiKi Taiwan Cuisine Restaurant. I wasn’t sure where the restaurant is but the instruction given is crystal clear and I managed to get to the restaurant in the shortest time. When I arrived, Robin + Sam almost finish their dinner but anyhow they are so nice to company me all the way... it was a great experience for me.

I didn’t know KiKi Taiwan restaurant serve “pork free” cuisine compare to the initial Fong Lye Restaurant located at The Gardens. Kiki is just another branch by Fong Lye where they served Taiwanese Fast Food Style. Our Specialties include Braised Beef Noodle, Three Varieties of Supreme Diced Chicken, Steam Boat, Stewed Beef in Hot Pot, Sweet Potato Ball, Taiwan Deep Fried Chicken, Fried Mushroom and Oolong Tea.

Kiki is somehow got to go with cat as the signboard, name card and menu have the cat cartoon but the cat looks cute. Everything is pretty similar to Fong Lye but I was surprised the food portion is bigger and they taste slightly better than Fong Lye.

Din Tai Fung

It has been a while since the last meet up as everyone is busy with their work and personal life. But that does not stop us from meeting up just like last Friday at Din Tai Fung. Last Friday was my first visit to Din Tai Fung at Pavilion – Din Tai Fung operated in the year 2007 at The Garden and reached out to Empire Shopping Gallery + Pavilion in 2010. It all begin in the year 1970 in Taiwan where Bingyi Yang, the founder of Din Tai Fung started his business selling cooking oil in a small shop and converted his business into a restaurant selling dumplings + noodles in 1980.

Today, the original outlet still stands on Xinyi Road in Taipei and there are more than 40 Din Tai Fung outlets in 10 countries. Why they maintain as a single outlet? Because they want to bring you the same quality of food and service as good as any other outlets of Din Tai Fung around the world. Maintain their reputation as one of the top 10 Best Restaurant of the World by New York Times. Rest assure you’ll get a similar or better in everything as it is managed by the same management.

I think I should stop on my elaboration about the restaurant and concentrate on our gathering... I was surprised when I saw Ben & Adrian busy taking order by them outside the Din Tai Fung as if both of them work for the restaurant, heheh they actually waiting to be called as the restaurant is fully book when they arrived. I am seriously baffled but I joined them for a while and here are the dishes that we have ordered - absolutely delicious. Bon Appetite!

All in all it was a meal to remember by, with our tummy filled, we happily proceeded with leisure time (coffee @ the loaf) and we actually spent another hour before heading back home. I guess I'll go back again!

SEED Cafe'

This is not my first time eating at Seed Cafe’ – the restaurant is operated by Seed Corporation Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Padini Holdings Bhd, it was founded in the year 2000. A cafe concept adapts a contemporary and simple outlook where the design and decoration gels in with Seed’s trendy image. The cafe is bright and airy, simply tempting just like their food – serving a mix of Asian and Western food. It would be an ideal place for friends, family or even colleagues to gather for relaxation and delicious meal, this is definitely the perfect place.

The lunch was satisfying and the service was good. I know I’ll come back again at this outlet – Hicom Glenmarie, Shah Alam, but with so many eatery outlets in KL, I wonder when would be the next visit. Fingers crossed!

Calamari Salad - Delicious
Tuna Pasta - Yummy
SEED De Menthe - Refreshing!
