The Bee @ Publika

March is the month of Birthday... everywhere you can find people celebrating either for their families, friends or lover who born in March. No exceptional for me as I have my share too but this is somehow special for us as we called it “family hangout” J instead of birthday celebration.

We went to The Publika – a creative retail mall that stands out from the rest by sheer innovation where F&B is no exceptional besides novel products, original concepts, fresh niche market and merchandising with a difference. Publika is off Jalan Duta which is pretty convenience for us to get there besides opting for Pavilion or Bukit Bintang. Anyhow the F&B outlet that catches our eye is The Bee a buzzing neighborhood food and drink but it was just another NORM chill out place.

The Bee was packed with birthday celebration when we arrived but we managed to find a corner nearby to the bar area and settled down. It took us a while to order but it took them a period to serve the food which and the food was below our expectation. Anyway, the main reason we are here is to celebrate our family member birthday – which turn THREE ZERO on the 10^th March 2012. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AGAIN!

Due to the NORM food served we decided not to get any cakes from The Bee beside walked all the way to the other end for a box of cup cake. The cup cake looks delicious and they are from WonderMilk. We just love the colour combination and the candles made up everything – PREFECT.

10^th May 2011: Another birthday gathering, this time is at Ben’s – Pavilion. Short and simple time spent together. Happy Birthday to Waqar (housemate) and the rest who shared the same date of birth, happy birthday to you (school friends – Jino Jin, Amanda Lai, ex-colleague – Cassie).

Ben’s is another F&B outlet by the group that owns T Forty Two, Plan B and etc. Based on the crowd, it’s really surprising to know that Ben’s just opened its doors a couple of weeks ago. Ben’s interior has its design cue – cosy ambiance for neither indoor nor outdoor dining area, small dining tables and comfortable chairs plus awesome outdoor area overlooks Bukit Bintang. I was impressed with the service – they are up to par as we waited no more than 5 minutes to settle down with the right order and everything appeared on the table less than 15 minutes.

Ben’s is about casual food while you catch up with your mates and enjoying the awesome view. It will make you to come back for more...

Hanare Authentic Japanese Restaurant

March 10^th 2011: Time to celebrate the birthday for Robin whom I know for years since childhood. We have celebrated many birthdays together, be it simple, complicated or posh, we been there and done that together with friends. This year is without any exception, we did it again at one of the new Japanese Fine Cuisine Restaurant in the city centre. The fun is that the dinner is just 3 of us with the rest of the crew that work there... Hanare is quiet, calm and secluded Jap Restaurant which serves authentic Japanese cuisine and is good for those who like privacy when they dine. The seafood is all fresh all the way from the east and it simply cannot get any fresher than this. Many has reviewed this Jap Restaurant is not to be missed dining place and stand out from the rest when comes to serving. Hanare do serve buffet with the WOW factor! Give it a try if you are Jap food fans!
