Tang Shifu

The other day, I was at 1Utama with my colleagues for co-branding exercise with Tang Shifu. We dropped by slightly after lunch hour and it was my first visit to this restaurant. Its name, "Tang Shifu Restaurant" which literally translated from mandarin means "Soup Master Restaurant"! We met up with Larry the Marketing person in charge for Tang Shifu, he is very kind to offer us with open choice menu but we ended up order these healthy foods below. With the taglines read "Nourishing Life" and "Healthiness starts with Tangshifu", the menu was filled with different types of Chinese soups, mostly those of the herbal type. Different ingredients were used ranging from ginseng, to scallops, to your ever expensive birds nest!

Restaurant Overview - bright and clean

Yummy Nibble
Porridge - Delicious
Chicken Herbal - Must Try

Brown Rice set - Healthy and irressistible
Herbal Eggs - Yum Yum
Cucumber Slice with peanut toppings
Our Drinks

The ambience was pretty good and overall it was a good meal, thanks to Larry. Do drop by the restaurant should you suddenly crave for some Chinese herbal soup.

New Paris Restaurant

My first dining experience at the ‘old’ Paris Restaurant was nearly a decade ago – back in 90s where they have beautiful scenic views and the foods were decently good and cheap. But my last visit to the expanded 3 new spacious shop units with 4 floors high is merely 5 years ago. Now I’m back but with different batch of people - my new office mates, they always looking for place to dine together and enjoy the catching-ups. For 8 of us, we ordered 6 dishes.

The Restaurant Overview and Home Made Chili Sauce - Yummy!

New Paris is situated in the busy town of SS2 and they serve simply the fastest Chinese Tai Chow in town, actually is true when all the dishes arrived within about 15 minutes. Overall, there are hits and misses, and the fare taste mostly average; most notable is their fast service. Bon Appetite!!!

Kangkong Belacan - Normal
Claypot Taufu - Not bad
Champagne chicken with watermelon - Delicious!
Stim Fish with Sambal - OK
Pork Nukle - Sinful
Stir Fried Vege - Too plain...

Will be back if there is another future gathering where we need more time to catch up instead of waiting for our food to be serve. Overall the super fast service makes up for any short falls.

Little Taiwan

It was a Sunday – the day for my car to go for a shower and for me to enjoy the day with movie and food. Usually I will either go to Damansara or Subang for car wash & spend my day there while waiting for my car to be ready. Decided to go to Damansara where I can kill many birds with one stone: car wash, Ikea, cinema and food is all under one roof. While my car going thru the process of cleaning, we enjoyed our brunch at Little Taiwan before the movie starts. Here are some of the pictures taken during the brunch and it was just a “so-so” taste compare to what I’ve tried before at Mid Valley and Avenue K when they do serve four legs creature (pork). I’ve even notice that their signboard has changed from orange to green colour. This is all due to our Malaysia’s multi racial society and the management decided to reformulate their Taiwanese cuisine into Halal where it can be accepted by all races. If I’m not mistaken the Mid Valley branch still under the sign of non halal – give it a try.

Salted Chicken - Missing something here....
Special Stewed Rice Set - Not worth it
Special Stewed Rice - This is much more worth it

After meal, movie is the next and it was just below my expectation – The Adjustment Bureau. A sci-fi thriller (combination of Inception and Bourne Identity) but it was just for Matt Damon fans. He did well in those Bourne Identity franchise and fall flat on this movie but Emily Blunt did her part well and looks beautiful. Then I continue my journey with window shopping and etc...... Look forward to my blue MONDAY ...
