New Paris Restaurant

My first dining experience at the ‘old’ Paris Restaurant was nearly a decade ago – back in 90s where they have beautiful scenic views and the foods were decently good and cheap. But my last visit to the expanded 3 new spacious shop units with 4 floors high is merely 5 years ago. Now I’m back but with different batch of people - my new office mates, they always looking for place to dine together and enjoy the catching-ups. For 8 of us, we ordered 6 dishes.

The Restaurant Overview and Home Made Chili Sauce - Yummy!

New Paris is situated in the busy town of SS2 and they serve simply the fastest Chinese Tai Chow in town, actually is true when all the dishes arrived within about 15 minutes. Overall, there are hits and misses, and the fare taste mostly average; most notable is their fast service. Bon Appetite!!!

Kangkong Belacan - Normal
Claypot Taufu - Not bad
Champagne chicken with watermelon - Delicious!
Stim Fish with Sambal - OK
Pork Nukle - Sinful
Stir Fried Vege - Too plain...

Will be back if there is another future gathering where we need more time to catch up instead of waiting for our food to be serve. Overall the super fast service makes up for any short falls.

Ben's

In May 11th 2011 I have blog about Ben’s, since then I didn’t visit the place. Now I’m back to do some catch up... Ben’s flagship cafe’s under BIG, Ben’ menu concentrates on international cuisine, East and Western main courses, delicious snacks and luscious desserts. When you at Ben’s it will gives you the homely feel with high ceilings and contemporary vintage furnishing, a great place to enjoy with family and friends.

The Menu

Something interesting at Ben’: A bunch of card on the table that serves as conversation starters, perfect remedy for those awkward silences during a date or whatever. Overall the price is quite decent as most things will fall around the RM 20 zone.

Iced Latte, Chocolate Milkshake & Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae
OH MY HEAVEN!
Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti - OK!
Nasi Ayam Rendang - so so only,
ask for Sambal but dont forget to add in the sugar syrup for better taste

Overall: Nice modern yet cosy ambience, friendly service, BUT nothing really bad, just that there are a few hits and misses on the food.....

Basil Thai Nudle Bar

อาหารไทย: Thai Cuisine: Thai Basil Nudle Bar @ Bangsar is a charming restaurant located at the ground floor of Bangsar Shopping Village. The restaurant is pretty cool as it’s located at the corner of the shopping complex with beautiful views if you were look out from inside. Ive been to the restaurant couple of times but I will never get bored due to the restaurant is very spacious comes with cool environment and bright.

Thai Basil Nudle Bar is suitable for working people, families gathering and love birds… We were at the restaurant during one of the night and found the place is still the same since its operation. Had a good time there although just for a quick dinner, I felt great! Overall I give this place thumbs up simply because I love spicy, sour cuisine. Not to forget the service is pretty OK!

Coke - Light and Original!
Tom Yam Chicken - Tasty!
Green Curry Chicken - Delicious...
Pad Thai! Always my FAV!
Menu - Colorful
Give it a try if you love Thai Cuisine!
