Friday Lunch

There are so much choices to choose when come to lunch but it seem too plain for us after a year here at Glenmarie. We crave for something different and real home cook food, so I asked permission of my dear colleagues (Gangesh and Rachel) to find out whether they agree to cook 1 of their signature dishes for us during one of the lunch break, instantly they agreed. Their effort is invaluable and the outcome is super delicious - it makes me think of mum’s cooking’s. Here are the dishes that we had during the last Friday lunch break and everyone loves the cooking’s. Should engage them if you want great Indian dishes but contact me first for further details, hahaha..... Thanks again Gangesh & Rachel.

Palate Palette

Sunday: Time flies really fast and we almost come to the end of June (half year of 2011), spending time with family & friends always create a great memory and tighten up the relationship. Last Sunday we had Alexis and this week we are at Palate Palette @ Bukit Bintang for our tea time – look forward to every weekend to spend quality time with great people.

Palate Palette has been around years ago but this is my first visit and the place does not meet the expectation. Where is the table setting, the colourful corner with flamingo’s, bright corner and everything that I read + saw from the net? The review I read and pictures I browse are totally different from what I had experience. I think they should maintain or make it more happen since there are such demands for the restaurant.

Below are the pictures for your viewing and try the place if you never been there but don’t expect it to be at the top service. The food + drink is OK, give them a credit.

Super 8 & Green Lantern

Movie Review again... these 2 movies are from different genre and have their own target audience. Believe the movies will perform great at box office due to they have fan based and it’s because of summer movie release. I had the chance to watched Super 8 last weekend with my buddies and Green Lantern at the last minute of last night. Can’t wait for more summer movies... till then, happy pop corn!

Super 8

Super 8 by chance have a Spielberg spell where you can feel the movie is a extreme version of ET & JJ as the director no doubt the movie is super sci-fi thriller just that it was set in the late 70’s. The movie centring on a mysterious train crash in a small Ohio town, where a group of young friends are filming a Super-8 movie when a pickup truck derails a speeding train. When things start to disappear amongst the local, the suspicions emerge that the incident was anything but an accident. By chance if you are curious about why the movie is called Super 8, do wait till end of credit, the answer is just ahhh... Enjoy!

Green Lantern

Green lantern Corps is a brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order - protectors of peace and justice. Each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers but when Parallax kills their best warriors Abin Sur and threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds). Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. Green Lantern is at its best where action is involved, watch this if you love Green Lantern and of cos give Ryan a chance in his career after losing ScarJo. POP CORN movie but CGI is Great!
